What You Need to Know About Your Appointment

Here are a few things you should know about your Sports Therapy Appointment.  If you have any other questions or concerns, please just call or email Lisa to discuss.

Prior to your Sports Therapy Appointment

Please do not take any pain killers for 4 hours prior to your appointment

Allow up to 75 minutes for your initial consultation

Try to avoid heavy meals for an hour or so before your appointment

What to expect during your Appointment

It is advisable to wear / bring shorts, as you will have a postural / injury assessment at the beginning of your appointment

If you are unwell, please be advised that a deep tissue massage will exacerbate your symptoms because blood circulates more rapidly as a result of the vigorous massage motion.  If in doubt, please speak to Lisa prior to your appointment

After your Sports Therapy Appointment

Follow the advice given during your consultation and follow up appointments

It is very important that you drink a minimum of 1.5 litres of water in the period after your appointment
